So what are the stories on this site about cases for upcoming products? Are manufacturers gambling on leaked information? I'm just asking; not being sarcastic.
In this case I think Apple would as they provided bumpers themselves for the antenna issue. I believe they would want properly fitting bumpers for this version.
Anyway I think the size is still the same. The current cases should fit like white on rice.
Have you not seen the stories/threads on here about the guys that got arrested for leaking the iPad 2 dimensions? That's how those cases were made so early in advance. Here's a link: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1144385
Take a look at some of the bigger case manufacturers and how they had little to no cases ready (except for some of the cases that are a "universal" design) for the Verizon iPhone launch, like Speck, Otterbox, etc. In some instances, they lucked out and already had case models that would fit the new vibrate switch because the older design wasn't as precisely cut, but in many cases, they had to redesign completely.
Added: And if you remember the cases 2 years ago that made it all the way to some retail stores for the iPod touch that had a camera cutout in the back (a full year before the camera was even in the iPod touch), yes, some manufacturers do in fact gamble on rumors. In that instance, they lost their bet.

No, the European iPhone is the same hardware as the AT&T iPhone. It will handle voice and pokey EDGE/GPRS data on the T-Mobile USA network, but not 3G data because they use the AWS band for that.
Whether you believe that there is carrier exclusivity is irrelevant. Apple probably tests on many different carriers around the world.
The fact of the matter is Apple doesn't announce the terms of their contracts with mobile operators, so your so-called "exclusivity" could have ended at midnight yesterday.
I think gkarris point was that T-Mobile operates in other countries as well, where they have the iPhone and where they do use 3G frequencies that the regular iPhone supports.

Hey twoodcc, You are putting up a boatload of wu's, 41 for today, that is impressive and loads of points too. When I get home tonight I'm ordering 2 psu's and another windows 7 so I can get all 4 of my gpu's folding.
I think I will add another 2 gpu's (to make 6) and forget about another whole machine for now, that 12 core mac pro (http://www.macrumors.com/2009/11/28/mac-pro-to-get-6-core-xeon-gulftown-processor-in-2010/)they are talking about on the front page looks mighty tempting to wait for.

There is no way it could be that thin.

Actually the reason for the battery drain is Apple updated the network baseband vocoder to the latest support UMTS/HSPA+ and better cell hand-offs in order to reduce dropped calls to an absolute minimum on GSM and similar on Verizon...
You get a trade off, worse battery life (some of it has to do with the software though, drain the BATTERY ENTIRELY, and recharge it should get to 80%-90% now... ALSO DO A SETTINGS RESET BECAUSE your phone is running on OLD settings PREVIOUS to 4.3.2) but improved performance in everything else or crappy voice calls because your iPhone can't use the latest network capacity enhancements AT&T/*insert GSM carrier here*/Apple has made or Verizon/*insert CDMA carrier here*/Apple has made.
Personally I like PERFECT VOICE QUALITY on GSM/CDMA.
When I'm @ work I charge on the computer/USB port anyways... Or in the car...
Just what will I have to reset if I do an 'all settings reset'?
Thanks
Carol

But no, they can't announce it in June and release in September. This isn't software, this is a hardware refresh. Availability follows announcement by 2-3 weeks tops. Otherwise, you won't hear about it.
I understand what you are saying but remember that Apple was able to do it with the iPad, a product that has sold incredibly well during a time that it was less known than the iPhone itself. It could happen.
People keep saying that it might be a September release but it could arrive much sooner. AT&T admitted not knowing when the next iPhone will be launched. So it could be late July or mid August... or September but that would be awful.
One last thing. A lot of people waited for a white iPhone 4 (announced ten months before!) and it is still selling despite the fact that a possible refresh for the product might be around the corner.

Actually I could feel that it was slightly heavier as well. I weighed both the black and white model and indeed the white is a little heavier but I really dont care, all my cases that I love (SGP) still work fine so its a "Who Cares" kinda thing as said before.
Oh, jeez, I can't believe you don't know this...charge the black one up to the equivalent level of the white phone and they will weigh exactly the same. ;)

I don't mind as long as the pricing is competitive, if its over-priced no way I'll be getting one..

Don't come. 4x 64gb AT&T and one 16 wifi. Profile are still in line but that's all they have.

Shot out of the window on a recent trip back from Pittsburgh. I was a bored passenger and decided to experiment a little. Came across a stretch of trees and thought a longer exposure would make an interesting photo. It's fairly drab, but I like the earthy tones it exhibits. Reminds me of some abstract art I've seen.
I could definitely see it as a great texture to use for photoshopping something. The earthy tones are definitely nice.

I will say the market seems to disagree.
It seems to be 4-4.3 in screens is the sweet spot. 4.5 seems to be 2 big but 4-4.3 people seem to like.
Unless you take into consideration that not a single one of those phones sell even remotely as well as the iPhone.

Hyper-Threading (Intel Core i7 only) a technology that allows two threads to run simultaneously on each core. So a quad-core iMac has eight virtual cores, all of which are recognized by Mac OS X. This enables the processor to deliver faster performance by spreading tasks more evenly across a greater number of cores.
-.-
Come on only Hyper-threading with the i7 -.-
I was looking to verify that . . . it blows now that I know. I didn't want to have to spend the extra $200 for HT.
That's something I'll put on my list when I look at the next base model Mac Pro.
Wouldn't it be smart to wait for Lion in 2 months and get that for free...
Yes, it would, and I'd recommend that for anyone that doesn't need a new machine right this very minute.
I personally, needed one since I sold my Power Mac G5 almost 3 years ago. I've been dying ever since at the home office. I'd pay the $129 or whatever to get Lion later, and drop the cash on the iMac now if I needed a machine right this very minute.

I wasn't expecting the iMac refresh so quick. I thought it would be after the Mac OS X Lion refresh. i been saving for my first iMac but not there yet so I'll have to still wait. Perhaps I'll wait till Mac OS X Lion is pre installed in late summer. That is if I can wait that long lol

It is interesting to read the long list of disclosed risks in the financial statement news release on the Apple website.

Haven't you read these before? They are a SOP for any 'forward looking' statement.

I believe that it isn't suggesting anything at all. When you go to list the devices that your application is compatible with, that is likely just an exposed extra field for if you wanted to include another device that is capable. It is in my opinion, nothing but a little bug. (Though emulating iOS apps om my Mac would be cool :P)

$100 says that in 2 months we will hear about screen flickering issues.
only specs are changed, i bet the screens are same.
apple likes to keep the update minimum
hope flicker does not come back for new owners!!!
